7:30 - 8:30 - 2nd period exam
8:40 - 9:40 - 3rd period exam
9:50 - 10:50 - 4th period exam
11: 00 - 2:30 we will have 5th, 6th, and 7th classes
Wednesday, May 21
7:30 - 8:30 - 5th period exam
8:40 - 9:40 - 6th period exam
9:50 - 10:50 - 7th period exam
11:00 - 2:30 we will have 2nd, 3rd, and 4th classes
Thursday, May 8 - We are creating newscasts from "true tales of adventure." All work is to be done in class. Work on your study guides at home. After you answer the study guide questions...go over and over and over it!
We took a little break from homework during TCAPs but now we are back on track!
Tuesday - everyone should have completed the watershed worksheet (except 2nd period)
Today - Wed. 4/23/08 - watched a video about Grand Canyon (turned in the watershed assignment)
assignment: write a cinquain about Grand Canyon or Colorado River

line #2 - two describing words
line #3 - three action words
line #4 - a phrase that describes subject
line #5 - a word that means same as line #1 or a word that sums up your poem
Monday 4/7/08 - last Fri I gave the students a study guide for the chap 13 test (which will be on Wednes. this week). Click here for another copy of the study guide.
Today I answered questions about the study guide and we put together atlas packets that we'll use this week. Also, we read about Kosovo in the latest J.S.
homework for tonight? complete the study guide!!
Tuesday 4/1/08 - We worked in groups to create a map of Eastern Europe from 1940-1991. Also check out the new country in Eastern Europe - Kosovo
Report Cards went out today, Monday, March 31.
Today we worked on TCAP practice and a map of Eastern Europe.
Directions for map: label all countries and these capitals - Warsaw, Prague, Bratislava, Budapest, Sarajevo, Bucharest, Kiev. Also, label Russia and Turkey and these seas - Black, Baltic, Adriatic (You may make a key and you don't have to color the map.)
Wednesday 3/18/08 - Yesterday, I gave everyone their average for the nine weeks. During that time, students were working in the TCAP Coach practice books or working on the book assignment.
Today, we played jeopardy to review the Five Major Religions info that came from the Coach book.
Remember! All book work is due tomorrow! (see below)
Monday 3/17/08 - I assigned all of the book work for the week and gave the entire class period to work on this (I am computing averages for report cards). This book work will not be due until Thurs. 3/20/08
